Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd has commenced commercial production at its new greenfield plant in Odisha, marking a milestone in the company’s expansion drive.

The facility, set up with an investment of around Rs 250–300 crore, will produce a wide range of steel pipes and tubes catering to infrastructure, construction, and industrial applications. 

The company said the new plant will boost its total production capacity by nearly 50%.

Odisha, already home to some of India’s largest steel producers like Tata Steel and JSW, has been aggressively promoting downstream industries. State officials said Vibhor’s project will help strengthen the steel ecosystem and create jobs for local youth.

“We see Odisha as a strategic location due to its raw material availability, port connectivity, and pro-industry policies. This plant will enable us to serve both domestic and export markets more efficiently,” said a company statement.
