The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the creation of four private textile parks in Unnao, Kanpur Dehat, Amroha and Shamli, each covering about 25 acres and developed by private entities with state facilitation. 

This initiative aims to build an integrated textile value-chain ecosystem, supporting spinning, weaving, garmenting and logistics under cluster-based development.

The move follows an 11% rise in textile exports from the state last year, touching Rs. 15,500 crore, signalling strong demand and competitiveness. 

These parks are expected to reduce operational costs for manufacturers, boost employment and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as a national apparel-production hub.
