The Uttar Pradesh government has announced an investment of Rs 6,124 crore for the construction of ring roads, bypasses, and flyovers across the state in FY26.

The Public Works Department (PWD) has outlined 62 projects in its blueprint, prioritising areas with high population density and heavy vehicular traffic. 

The initiative is aimed at enhancing road connectivity and improving traffic management across urban and semi-urban regions. 

The development plan also factors in ongoing efforts to establish industrial parks throughout the state, ensuring effective freight movement and logistical access.

This focused infrastructure expansion is expected to decongest roads, facilitate economic activity, and provide a more streamlined transportation network in key areas of Uttar Pradesh
