Jupiter plans Rs 2,700 crore solar cell and module plant facility in Andhra Pradesh

Jupiter Renewables has announced a Rs 2,700 crore investment to establish a large-scale solar cell and module plant in Rambilli, Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh.

The plant will have a manufacturing capacity of 4.8 GW for solar photovoltaic (PV) cells and 1.5 GW for PV modules, and is expected to generate over 2,200 jobs. 

According to the state government’s Industries & Commerce Department, the project will be executed in two phases - Phase I, with an investment of Rs 1,504 crore, is set to be completed by March 2026, while Phase II, valued at Rs 1,196 crore, is scheduled for completion by July 2026.

Jupiter Renewables, a subsidiary of Kolkata-based Jupiter International, becomes the third major solar manufacturer to set up operations in the state, joining Indosol and Premier Energies.
