Uno Minda board approves DPR for a new manufacturing facility in Sambhajinagar

Uno Minda announced that its board of directors has agreed to a detailed plan to build a new factory in Sambhajinagar, Aurangabad. This factory will cost Rs 210 crore.

The company said in a public statement that this new factory, part of its casting division, will meet the growing demand from original equipment manufacturers for casting parts used in electric vehicles.

The new factory will be able to produce 3,629 metric tons of parts each year. This will happen in stages.

The added production capacity will be completed over five years, in different phases. The first phase is expected to start in the second three months of the financial year 2027.

The company said it will pay for this using its own money and a loan.

Uno Minda's profit for the fourth quarter went down by 7.5%, from Rs 287.9 crore last year to Rs 266 crore this year. Its sales went up by 19.4%, from Rs 3,794 crore last year to Rs 4,528 crore this year.
