The Tamil Nadu Road Development Company has invited bids for the remaining 27.34 km section of the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road project. 

The final package involves elevated roads, vehicle and pedestrian underpasses, major bridges and corridor-wide safety improvements. 

Once completed, the CPRR will significantly decongest Chennai’s traffic load and strengthen connectivity between industrial zones and major national corridors. 

The project is a vital component of long-term urban mobility planning in the region. 

Its completion is expected to improve freight movement and reduce travel times for industries located around North and West Chennai.
