Tata Power is set to finalise its proposed Rs.6,500 crore wafer and ingot manufacturing project by January, marking a key milestone in India’s solar manufacturing value chain. 

The project aims to reduce import dependence and support domestic solar module production. 

It aligns with the Centre’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for solar manufacturing. 

The facility is expected to cater to both captive requirements and external customers. 

The investment strengthens Tata Power’s integrated clean energy strategy across generation and manufacturing.
