The Tamil Nadu government has issued a tender to appoint a consultant to prepare the Detailed Techno-Economic Report (DTER) for the proposed Hosur Greenfield Airport. 

The scope covers technical studies, financial modelling, surveys, and statutory clearances required to move the project to approval stage. 

The airport is expected to support more than 500 industries and thousands of MSMEs in the Hosur–Krishnagiri belt, while also serving South Bengaluru as a secondary aviation hub. 

The project could significantly decongest Bengaluru Airport and stimulate new industrial investments along the border region.
