Syrma SGS Technology unleashes Rs 1,800 crore PCB Powerhouse in Andhra Pradesh

Industrial Services  -  Jul 09,2025  -

Chennai-based Syrma SGS Technology is set to establish the nation's largest multi-layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) manufacturing facility in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh.

This ambitious project, with an estimated investment of Rs 1,800 crore, marks a pivotal moment for domestic electronics production and the "Make in India" initiative.

The venture is a strategic collaboration, with Syrma SGS Technology partnering with South Korean electronics giant Shinhyup Electronics Ltd.

Shinhyup will provide crucial technology and marketing support, ensuring the facility adheres to global standards and caters to international demand.

Sources close to the development indicate that discussions are in advanced stages, with the Andhra Pradesh cabinet expected to clear the proposal swiftly.

PCBs are the foundational components in almost all electronic devices, providing the platform for mounting and connecting electronic components. CCL, in turn, is the core material from which PCBs are manufactured.

This integrated approach to manufacturing both components will significantly reduce India's reliance on imports, strengthening the domestic electronics supply chain across various critical sectors.

The new facility is strategically located in Naidupeta, benefiting from its proximity to Chennai and access to essential resources like land and water.
