Sunsure Energy plans Rs 5,000 crore funding for renewable expansion

Sunsure Energy plans to raise Rs 5,000 crore in debt this year to fund its renewable energy expansion.

The company has outlined a total investment of Rs 9,000-10,000 crore, primarily through debt and equity. 

With Rs 1,000 crore already secured, Sunsure targets raising Rs 10,000 crore in debt over two years, and half of which will be raised in 2025.
The company is engaged with multiple foreign and Indian banks and non-banking financial companies. It has already raised about Rs 1,000 crore from financiers, including the Aditya Birla Group and Tata Cleantech Capital.

Sunsure plans to build three GW by 2027, with 40 percent utility-scale projects, and expand to 10 GW by 2030.
