Steelbird Hi-Tech India Limited, a prominent name in the Indian helmet manufacturing industry, is embarking on a significant expansion drive, committing Rs 50 crore in capital expenditure across its nine manufacturing plants this fiscal year.

This strategic investment is aimed at substantially scaling up production capacity, bolstering research and development (R&D), and modernizing operations to meet the surging demand for safer, certified helmets in both domestic and international markets.

This capital infusion is part of Steelbird's broader vision to launch an ambitious 75 new helmet models over the next five years, catering to evolving consumer preferences and technological advancements in rider safety.

The company, which currently commands a significant 35% share of India's branded helmet market, operates six plants in Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) and three in Noida (Uttar Pradesh), supported by offices in Delhi, Italy, and a digital hub in Panchkula.

Alongside its production expansion, Steelbird has also unveiled its groundbreaking SXE helmet, a product launched under its "Advanced Safety Series." Priced competitively starting from Rs 3,599, the SXE helmet is touted as India's first motorcycle helmet equipped with Advanced Impact Protection Technology, featuring a Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) layer in its impact-absorbing liner.
