SRF Ltd, a diversified chemical major, has announced significant capital expenditure plans, with its Board of Directors approving projects worth approximately Rs 740 crore. 

These investments will primarily bolster the company's Agrochemicals and Packaging Films businesses.

The Board has greenlit the establishment of a new agrochemical production facility in Dahej, Gujarat, at a cost of Rs 250 crore. 

This plant will have an annual capacity of 12,000 tonnes of an agrochemical intermediate and is slated for completion within 18 months.

Additionally, SRF will invest Rs 490 crore to set up a Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film manufacturing facility in Indore. 

This facility will feature a state-of-the-art 10.4-meter wide Bruckner film line and a metallizer, with an expected completion timeline of 24 months.
