Sigachi Industries has announced a significant expansion of its production capabilities with the planned commissioning of a new croscarmellose sodium (CCS) facility. 

Located in Dahej, Gujarat, the new plant is expected to be operational by October 2026. 

This move is a strategic step to complement the company's existing portfolio, particularly its flagship product, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC).
The company has already secured the necessary environmental clearance for the project, signaling a green light for its ambitious plans. 

According to Sigachi's Managing Director and CEO, Amit Raj Sinha, the addition of CCS production will enable the company to offer holistic excipient solutions to the pharmaceutical industry, as both MCC and CCS are often used together in drug formulations.
