Infrastructure  -  Jul 24,2025  -

Sify Infinit Spaces is set to make a monumental investment of Rs 16,466 crore in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, for the development of a large-scale data centre.

This significant project received the green light from the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on July 22, 2025.

The data centre project is a cornerstone of Andhra Pradesh's strategy to enhance its digital infrastructure and attract high-tech investments. It will be developed in two distinct phases:

Phase 1: An initial investment of Rs 1,466 crore will be made. This phase is expected to generate 200 direct job opportunities.

Phase 2: The remaining Rs 15,000 crore will be invested, significantly expanding the facility and creating an additional 400 jobs, bringing the total direct employment to 600 upon full completion.

The proposed data centre campus is designed to support advanced cloud services, Artificial Intelligence (AI) readiness, and high-density computing, which are crucial components for India's rapidly evolving digital economy.
