Sekisui Chemical announces sixth factory in India

Manufacturing  -  Jul 02,2025  -

Sekisui Chemical, under the leadership of President Keita Kato, has announced the establishment of its sixth manufacturing facility in India.

The new plant will be situated in Pune, Maharashtra, and will manufacture injection-molded components for the automotive sector, operating under the entity SEKISUI DLJM MOLDING PRIVATE LIMITED.

The projected investment for this facility is $3 million, with operations slated to commence in January 2026.

This expansion aligns with Sekisui Chemical’s strategic objective to strengthen its injection molding business, a key component of its High Performance Plastics division.

With a focus on the expanding mobility sector, the company aims to leverage the increasing demand for automotive components within the Indian market.

SEKISUI DLJM MOLDING, a joint venture with local partner Dipty Lal Judge Mal Private Limited, has been operational since 2011 and has demonstrated consistent growth, mirroring India's increasing motorization trends.

Pune, a significant center for major automotive manufacturers, was selected for the new plant due to its robust industry presence and anticipated growth trajectory.

This new facility is projected to increase the company's production capacity in India by approximately 15%, supporting further business development in the region.
