SAEL Industries to invest Rs 22,000 crore in Andhra’s renewable and infrastructure projects

Power Generation  -  Nov 06,2025  -

SAEL Industries has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government to invest Rs 22,000 crore across renewable energy, port-linked infrastructure, and digital development.

The investment package, unveiled ahead of the upcoming CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, will create nearly 70,000 jobs in the state. The move underscores Andhra’s growing prominence as a destination for clean-energy investment and large-scale industrial projects.
The plan includes establishing 1,750 MW of solar-plus-battery storage capacity across Kadapa and Kurnool, a 200 MW MW biomass-based power programme, and a Rs 3,000 crore data-centre project in Visakhapatnam. SAEL also intends to develop port-based infrastructure worth Rs 4,000 crore to enhance logistics connectivity for renewable-energy components and data-centre operations.

For Andhra Pradesh, the investment builds on recent policy initiatives that prioritize hybrid renewables, energy storage, and digital infrastructure.

The state has already attracted major investments from companies like Adani Green and JSW Renew Energy in recent months. SAEL’s new projects align with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s goal of making Andhra a $500-billion economy through balanced regional industrialization.
