SAEL Industries' subsidiary starts 50 MW solar project in Maharashtra

Power Generation  -  Jul 28,2025  -

Solar RE Power, a company that belongs to SAEL Industries, announced that it has started operating a 50-megawatt (MW) solar power plant in the Beed district of Maharashtra.

This new plant is expected to produce over 100 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity every year.

The solar project is built on the ground and uses special "TOPCon bifacial modules," which are designed to capture sunlight from both sides, making them very efficient and reliable. SAEL Industries stated that this project aligns with the government's aim for a clean energy future.

The electricity from this plant will be sold to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under a 25-year agreement, ensuring steady income and tariff rates.

This step further expands SAEL Industries' reach in India's renewable energy sector, as the company also works on converting agricultural waste into energy and manufacturing solar panels.
