Solar module manufacturer Saatvik Green Energy has commissioned 2 GW of encapsulant (EPE film) manufacturing capacity, bringing a key input component under its own production ecosystem. 

The move significantly strengthens the company’s vertical integration strategy, improving cost control, quality consistency, and supply security at a time when the domestic solar sector is scaling rapidly. 

By internalising EPE film production, Saatvik reduces its exposure to global raw material volatility and import disruptions. 

The expansion supports its long-term ambition of becoming a fully integrated solar manufacturing player.

The development also aligns with India’s push to create an indigenous solar supply chain under the Production Linked Incentive framework.
