The Karnataka government has approved a Rs. 450 crore upgrade of a 17-km stretch of Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road.

The project includes road strengthening, improved stormwater drainage, and better junction design.

A 10-year maintenance clause has been built into the project to ensure long-term road quality.

The upgrade aims to ease congestion along one of Bengaluru’s busiest IT and commercial corridors.

The project forms part of the city’s broader urban infrastructure modernisation efforts.
