RRP Defence has officially partnered with the French-American aerospace firm CYGR to establish a cutting-edge drone manufacturing facility in Navi Mumbai. 

This strategic collaboration, unveiled on Saturday, marks a significant boost for India's "Make in India" initiative and positions the nation as a growing hub for advanced drone technology.

The joint venture will see an initial investment of approximately USD 50 million (around INR 430 crore), with plans to scale up to USD 100 million in the future. The facility will leverage French-American technology combined with Indian manufacturing expertise to produce next-generation drone systems for a wide range of applications.

"This collaboration is a defining moment for India's UAV ecosystem," stated Rajendra Chodankar, Chairman of RRP Defence Ltd. 

"By combining our local manufacturing strength and field understanding with CYGR's world-class drone technologies, we are building systems that meet India's unique operational needs. It's a proud step toward Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India)," Rajendra added.
