ACME Solar Holdings, a leading integrated renewable energy player, today announced the finalization of Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreements (BESPA) with NHPC Limited for two pioneering standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Andhra Pradesh. 

The agreements, totaling a substantial 275 MW/550 MWh, mark a significant stride towards strengthening India's energy grid and accelerating the nation's transition to a sustainable power future.

The two projects, secured through a competitive e-reverse auction held on June 24, 2025, will see ACME Solar developing a 50 MW/100 MWh project at a tariff of Rs 2,10,000 per MW per month, and a 225 MW/450 MWh project at a tariff of INR 2,22,000 per MW per month.

Both installations will be strategically located in Andhra Pradesh, specifically at Kuppam and Ghani, and are poised to be commissioned within 18 months from the signing of the BESPA. 

A key factor in this expedited timeline is the provision of land and evacuation infrastructure by the customer, Andhra Pradesh, ensuring a streamlined execution process.
