PSU Petronet LNG inks service pact with Performance Chemiserve

Petroleum  -  Jul 11,2025  -

Petronet LNG Limited has signed a significant Rs 1,200 crore regasification agreement with Performance Chemiserve Limited (PCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL).

This substantial 5.5-year contract, formalized on July 10, 2025, will see Petronet LNG provide regasification services for approximately 25.6 TBTUs (Trillion British Thermal Units) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually at its Dahej terminal in Gujarat.

The supply is scheduled to commence between May and July 2026 and will continue until December 31, 2031.

The regasified LNG will primarily be used to fuel Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.'s manufacturing units at Taloja, Maharashtra.

This deal strengthens DFPCL's integrated energy supply chain, ensuring a steady and reliable supply of LNG for its production of fertilizers, industrial chemicals, and mining inputs.

For Petronet LNG, this agreement enhances its long-term business visibility and is expected to generate revenue of around Rs 1,200 crore, with an additional upside potential of up to 20% over the contract duration.

It also reinforces Petronet's position as a key domestic regasification partner, further solidifying its market presence in the LNG sector. The Dahej terminal is already recognized as one of the busiest regasification terminals globally.
