Food Empire to expand coffee manufacturing facility in India

Food Processing  -  Jul 11,2025  -

Singapore-headquartered Food Empire Holdings, a multinational food and beverage manufacturing and distribution group, has announced significant plans to expand its coffee manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, India.

This move underscores India's growing importance as a strategic market and production hub for the company.

Food Empire will be investing a substantial US$37 million into this expansion project.

The primary focus of this investment is to significantly increase the capacity of its spray-dried soluble coffee manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh by approximately 60%.

The expansion work is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025 and is targeted for completion by the end of 2027. This boost in production capacity is a crucial component of Food Empire's broader vertical integration strategy, which aims to enhance its control over the entire coffee processing value chain.

According to Sudeep Nair, Group CEO and Executive Director of Food Empire, the company has enjoyed four consecutive years of record revenue growth, largely driven by the strong performance of its core branded consumer business. This sustained growth has provided the confidence and impetus for the company to expand its ingredients manufacturing business.
