Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora has revealed that Happy Forgings Ltd (HFL) will invest Rs 1,000 crore in Ludhiana to expand its manufacturing footprint. HFL, a company focused on forging and machining high-precision components, has chosen to invest in Punjab despite receiving offers from other states.

The phased investment is projected to create over 2,000 direct employment opportunities, including more than 300 engineering positions, and is expected to boost the local economy by stimulating the development of ancillary units and increasing steel consumption.

With a market capitalization of Rs 10,000 crore and revenue of Rs 1,409 crore in FY25, Happy Forgings is a significant player in the manufacturing sector. Managing Director Ashish Garg confirmed the company’s commitment to Punjab, and praised the state's upcoming industrial policy, developed through sectoral committees.
