Premier Energies commissions 5.6 GW solar module facility in Telangana

Manufacturing  -  Mar 31,2026  -

Premier Energies has commissioned a 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Telangana, marking a major capacity addition in India’s renewable manufacturing space. The plant is equipped to produce high-efficiency modules for utility-scale and rooftop projects.

The expansion comes as India pushes for backward integration in solar manufacturing to reduce reliance on imports. With rising domestic demand and export opportunities, such facilities are becoming critical to the country’s clean energy ambitions. Production will scale up progressively as order pipelines build.

The facility is expected to incorporate advanced manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency and reduce production costs. This will enhance competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.

As India scales up its renewable energy targets, domestic manufacturing capacity will play a key role in ensuring supply chain stability.
