PHED, Haryana invites bids for major STP upgradation project in Rohtak

Environment  -  Jul 09,2025  -

The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Haryana, has issued an invitation for bids for a significant project to upgrade an existing sewage treatment plant (STP) in Rohtak.

This crucial initiative aims to enhance wastewater treatment capabilities in the region and align with stricter environmental norms.

The project involves the upgradation of an existing 40 Million Litres per Day (MLD) STP to a 60 MLD capacity facility.

A key aspect of this upgrade will be the incorporation of the Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) process, a modern wastewater treatment technology designed to remove nitrogen and phosphorus, thereby significantly improving the quality of the treated effluent.

The estimated cost of this contract is approximately ₹57.05 crore. The PHED has set a work completion timeline of 24 months from the date of commencement, indicating a focused approach to accelerate the project's execution.

The bid submission deadline for this project is July 23, 2025. Interested parties are encouraged to review the detailed tender documents available through the eProcurement System of the Government of Haryana
