Optiemus Electronics has teamed up with Taiwan-based ASRock to manufacture enterprise and gaming PC motherboards in India.

Production began in April 2025, with the first India-made motherboards set to hit the market in May. 

This move is aimed at reducing India’s dependence on imported hardware components and strengthening the local electronics manufacturing ecosystem. 

Optiemus, already known for contract manufacturing hearables for brands such as Xiaomi, Realme, and Noise, is now venturing into high-precision IT hardware.

The company is using  automated processes and nitrogen reflow systems to optimise soldering quality, which is critical for complex Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), especially for AI-based motherboards. 

The locally manufactured motherboards will cater to applications ranging from telecom and enterprise systems to AI-powered desktops and laptops.
