Odisha clears Rs 4,982 crore investment proposals

The Odisha government has given its nod to 23 new investment proposals totaling Rs 4,982 crore, a move poised to significantly boost employment and drive economic growth across the state. 

These projects, approved by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, are expected to generate nearly 12,000 jobs across 12 districts.

The approved projects span diverse sectors including textiles, steel, food processing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, IT, tourism, and aerospace and defence. Key approvals include:

 * Textiles: KPR Mill Limited's Rs 350 crore garment manufacturing unit in Khurda, creating 5,000 jobs.

 

 * Steel: Major investments from Vidya Minerals Pvt Ltd (Rs 620 crore) in Sundargarh and Jatia Steel Limited (Rs 451.90 crore) in Jajpur.

 * Renewable Energy: Luminous Power Technologies' Rs 950 crore solar cell and PV module manufacturing unit in Gopalpur, and Ecodynamix Green Energy's Rs 100 crore, 30 MW solar power plant in Bargarh.

 * Tourism: Six premium hospitality projects worth Rs 479 crore across Puri, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, and Ganjam districts.

 * Aerospace & Defence: BonV Technology's notable Rs 300 crore Drone Park in Khurda, aiming to establish an integrated UAV ecosystem and create 760 jobs.

These approvals underscore Odisha's commitment to industrial growth and its success in attracting diverse investments, aligning with the state's "Samruddha Odisha by 2036" vision.
