NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), the renewable energy arm of India's largest power generator, has successfully commissioned a new 49.1 MW capacity at its Khavda solar project in Bhuj, Gujarat. 

This marks the third phase of the 300 MW project, bringing the total operational capacity to 224.13 MW. The new capacity was declared commercially operational on August 22, 2025. 

This development is part of NGEL's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and supports India's ambitious clean energy targets. 

The Khavda project is a crucial component of the company's efforts to contribute to the country's transition to a greener energy mix.
