NHAI Issues tender for four-laning of NH-56 stretch in Gujarat

Infrastructure  -  Sep 23,2025  -

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a tender for a significant road infrastructure project in Gujarat.

The project involves upgrading an existing two-lane carriageway to a four-lane highway on a 60.21-kilometer stretch of NH-56.

The section to be upgraded extends from Nasarpore village in Umarpada taluka to Malotha village in Vyara taluka.
The tender, with a contract value of Rs 1,382.41 crore, will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), designated as Package VI.

This model involves a combination of government and private funding, which is expected to ensure the timely and efficient completion of the project.

The four-laning is a crucial initiative aimed at improving road capacity and enhancing connectivity in the region, which will, in turn, support local economic growth and facilitate smoother traffic flow. The deadline for the submission of bids is set for November 6, 2025.
