A new power substation is being developed in Ambattur to meet rising electricity demand from Chennai’s fast-growing data centre sector. 

The project will provide reliable and high-capacity power supply to support hyperscale and colocation facilities. 

Strengthening power infrastructure is critical as data centres require uninterrupted electricity. 

The substation also aligns with Tamil Nadu’s efforts to position itself as a leading data centre hub. 

Chennai continues to attract investments due to its connectivity, skilled workforce, and policy support.
