The new Mulapeta Port, a flagship infrastructure project in Andhra Pradesh, is on track to conduct its first trial run on December 19, 2025. 

This crucial milestone will involve the arrival of the first ship at the port, a final step before commencing full commercial operations. 

The port, being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 4,362 crore, is poised to be a major maritime gateway.

The port is designed to handle a wide variety of cargo, including coal, iron ore, general cargo, and containers. 

Its strategic location is expected to reduce logistics costs for industries in the region and boost regional trade.
