Tyre manufacturer MRF Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu government to invest Rs. 5,300 crore in a new greenfield manufacturing facility in the state.

The proposed plant will expand MRF’s production capacity to meet rising demand for tyres in domestic and international markets.

Company officials said the investment reflects Tamil Nadu’s strong industrial ecosystem and skilled workforce.

The project is expected to generate employment and strengthen the state’s position as a major automotive manufacturing hub.

Implementation will proceed after land allocation and statutory approvals.
