MIDC to set up first plug-and-play facility for MSMEs in Nashik

Manufacturing  -  Jun 30,2025  -

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has decided to set up its first plug-and-play facility for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Talegaon-Akrale industrial estate, located in Dindori taluka of Nashik district.

During a recent meeting in Nashik chaired by State Industry Minister Uday Samant, representatives from the Nashik Industries and Manufacturers' Association (Nima), Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MCCIA), and Ambad Industries and Manufacturers' Association (Aima) urged the government to create a plug-and-play zone for small businesses.

Following the discussions, the Minister directed MIDC to allocate land and begin work on the facility. Nima president Ashish Nahar welcomed the move, stating it would significantly boost MSME growth in the region.

Spanning 10 acres, the facility is specifically designated for MSMEs and aims to provide ready-to-use infrastructure, including industrial sheds, power supply, and other essential services, to streamline the process of setting up manufacturing units. This initiative is in response to growing demands from industry stakeholders for dedicated MSME support.
