Medi Mold OIC International will invest more than Rs. 100 crore to establish a 3D-printed orthopaedic implant manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam, focusing on custom, high-precision implants and surgical tools. 

The new unit will deploy additive manufacturing technology to meet demand from Indian healthcare providers and export markets for patient-specific implants. 

This project is expected to create specialised manufacturing jobs and spur ancillary tech investments in the region. 

Authorities said the facility supports India’s push toward advanced healthcare manufacturing and digital fabrication ecosystems. 

With faster turnaround and improved quality control, the plant will also help hospitals reduce lead times for critical orthopaedic solutions.
