Marengo Hospitals lines up Rs 150 crore for western foray

Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Jul 15,2025  -

Marengo Asia Healthcare is set to make a significant push into Western India with an investment of approximately Rs 150 crore.

This strategic move, backed by investors like Samara Capital, Havells family investment office, and Godrej family investment office, is part of Marengo's broader vision to double its bed capacity and establish a pan-India presence.

Currently managing around 1,500 beds across its network of four hospitals in the Delhi NCR and Gujarat regions, Marengo Asia Healthcare aims to significantly increase this to 3,000 beds by next year.

The expansion strategy will involve a dual approach: selective buyouts of standalone hospitals and adding more beds within its existing facilities.

Raajiv Singhal, Founding Member, CEO, and Group Managing Director of Marengo Asia Hospitals, confirmed the plans.

"We will consolidate both North and West clusters. We are adding beds in Gujarat, and we will make that announcement soon. This will put us in the position of being a top leader. We are also looking at something in Maharashtra and a couple of more places and we will explore Rajasthan too," Singhal stated.

He added that the group is actively evaluating assets across India to achieve its ambitious growth targets.
