The Municipal Corporation of Manesar has taken a significant step towards sustainability by earmarking land for the establishment of a bio-CNG plant. 

This green initiative will help in the efficient processing of organic waste, converting it into clean and renewable energy. 

The project is expected to address waste management challenges while also providing a source of eco-friendly fuel.''

MCM commissioner Ayush Sinha said, is a step to implement decentralised waste processing in Manesar, which performed poorly in the latest Swacchh Survekshan rankings. The capacity of the project, for which the estimated cost is Rs 100 crore, will be 150 tonnes per day. The bio-CNG gas produced in the plant will be supplied to local villages through pipelines, providing clean and affordable fuel.
