Maharashtra seals Rs 42,892 crore investment deals with 10 companies

The Maharashtra government has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 42,892 crore with 10 companies, marking a major push towards attracting investment and generating employment. 

The deals, inked in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, are expected to create over 28,500 jobs across various sectors, with a strong focus on data centers and solar energy.

Among the key agreements, Jupiter International Ltd. will invest Rs 10,900 crore for solar panel manufacturing, while Rovision Tech Hub Pvt Ltd and Webmint Digital Pvt Ltd will establish data centers with investments of Rs 2,508 crore and Rs 4,846 crore, respectively. 

Other significant investments include a Rs 4,300 crore project by Wow Iron & Steel Pvt Ltd in the steel industry and a Rs 575 crore investment by Atlas Copco for an industrial equipment facility. 

The state government also signed a strategic agreement with the Global India Business Corridor to attract investments from the UK and Europe, and an MoU with TUTRR Hyperloop Pvt Ltd to develop an advanced transport system at JNPT and Vadhavan Ports.
