Infrastructure  -  Sep 16,2025  -

The Maharashtra government has released a fund of Rs 150 crore to accelerate the progress of the Ahilyanagar-Beed-Parli Vaijnath broad-gauge railway line project.

This infusion of capital brings the total state allocation for the project to Rs 2,091 crore and is seen as a special gesture ahead of Marathwada Liberation Day.

The project is a major infrastructure initiative that is poised to be a game-changer for the development of the Beed district.

The 261-km railway line has a total estimated cost of Rs 4,805 crore, with the state government's share pegged at Rs 2,402 crore.

The fresh Rs 150 crore will be disbursed to the railways as the state's share for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

This project, which has been a long-pending demand, is set to transform the lives of farmers, students, entrepreneurs, and traders by improving connectivity, boosting investment, and generating employment.
