The Maharashtra government has cleared land allocation for a coal gasification project at Kalmeshwar.

 

The project aims to convert coal into synthetic gas for industrial use. Land clearance enables the project to proceed with development planning.

 

Coal gasification is part of India’s strategy for cleaner coal utilisation. Further project activities will follow statutory approvals.
