Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurates three compressed biogas plants

Infrastructure  -  Nov 13,2025  -

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated three new compressed biogas (CBG) plants as part of the state’s accelerated shift toward renewable and low-carbon fuel alternatives.

The facilities, developed under the state’s green energy roadmap, are expected to produce CBG from agricultural residue and organic waste, significantly boosting local clean-fuel availability. The inauguration marks one of the largest single-day additions to the state’s CBG infrastructure.

The Chief Minister highlighted that CBG projects will play a crucial role in reducing dependence on fossil fuels while supporting rural incomes through biomass procurement.

Each plant has been designed to supply high-purity biogas suitable for both industrial and transportation purposes, aligning with national initiatives to blend cleaner fuels in the energy mix. The plants also include advanced purification systems to ensure consistent quality and safety.
