A consortium led by Lloyds Engineering Works has secured a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a 4.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) pellet plant at SAIL’s IISCO Steel Plant in West Bengal. 

The project will support SAIL’s strategy to enhance raw material efficiency and reduce dependency on external pellet supplies. 

Pelletization enables optimal utilization of iron ore fines, reducing waste and improving blast furnace performance. 

The new facility will contribute significantly to SAIL’s production flexibility and sustainability goals while generating substantial employment during construction. 

For Lloyds, the contract strengthens its position as a reliable EPC partner in India’s steel manufacturing infrastructure.
