Linde India emerges as sole bidder for Nitrogen Plant at BPCL's Kochi Refinery

Linde India has emerged as the sole bidder for setting up a compressed air and nitrogen plant at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited's (BPCL) Kochi refinery. 

This crucial project is part of BPCL's ongoing efforts to upgrade and expand the capabilities of its Kochi facility.

The financial bids for the project were opened on July 9, 2025, and are currently undergoing evaluation. The outcome of this evaluation will determine the next steps in the formal award of the contract, which was tendered by Engineers India.

While specific details regarding the capacity of the proposed nitrogen plant at Kochi refinery are yet to be publicly disclosed, Linde India is known for its expertise in designing and building a wide range of nitrogen plants. 

Their capabilities extend to providing solutions for various capacities, from 150 Nm3/hr to 15,000 Nm3/hr, catering to diverse industrial needs, particularly in the petrochemical and fertilizer sectors.
