Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Sep 17,2025  -

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed an agreement to open a new hotel in Gaya, Bihar, a city of immense spiritual and historical importance.

The new property, to be operated by its subsidiary Carnation Hotels, will have 56 rooms and will be strategically located near Bodhgaya Airport and Gaya Railway Station.

Gaya is a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists, with the nearby Mahabodhi Temple Complex being a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Gautama Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment.

The city also holds significance for Hindu pilgrims, who visit the Vishnupad Temple. The new hotel will cater to a diverse clientele of pilgrims, tourists, and business travelers, adding a modern hospitality option to a city with growing tourism and spiritual significance.
