Global logistics major Kuehne+Nagel is set to expand its aerospace logistics capabilities through the planned acquisition of Eastway Global Forwarding, a move designed to strengthen specialised freight handling, certification-led transport and end-to-end supply chain services for aerospace customers. 

The acquisition will give Kuehne+Nagel greater regional coverage and deeper handling expertise for time-sensitive aerospace components, supporting aircraft OEMs, MROs and tier suppliers that demand strict compliance and traceability. 

As aerospace supply chains globalise and OEMs seek reliable service partners for high-value parts and aftermarket flows, strategic M&A in logistics is becoming a faster route to capability and network enhancement. 

This deal also highlights continuity in logistics consolidation as service providers chase sectoral verticals with premium margins.
