Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) has invited tenders for constructing new substations and transmission lines in Belagavi district to strengthen the regional power grid. 

The project will enhance electricity distribution reliability, reduce losses, and support industrial expansion in northern Karnataka. 

Upgrading transmission infrastructure is a key component of the state’s power sector modernization efforts aimed at integrating renewable energy and meeting rising industrial demand. 

The initiative also aligns with the central government’s push to modernize power transmission networks across India under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
