KEI Industries has started the first phase of commercial production at its new Sanand-II cable plant, bringing online capacity for LT, HT and EHV cables to serve utilities, renewables and industrial customers. 

The plant’s initial output will focus on low- and medium-voltage cables to meet immediate regional demand while higher-voltage and specialty cable production ramps in subsequent phases. 

KEI says phased commissioning will allow progressive supply to major grid and infra projects and reduce lead times for large tenders. 

The new facility strengthens KEI’s manufacturing footprint in Gujarat and supports growth in transmission and renewables segments.
