The Karnataka government is pursuing new industrial investments in northern districts under its “Beyond Bengaluru” policy aimed at decentralising economic growth.

The initiative focuses on attracting manufacturing and infrastructure projects to regions outside the state capital.

Officials said the policy is intended to promote balanced regional development and create employment opportunities in tier-two and tier-three cities.

Industrial clusters and infrastructure upgrades are being planned to support new investments.

The programme forms part of Karnataka’s broader strategy to expand its industrial base beyond Bengaluru.
