Jharkhand to boost healthcare with new super speciality hospital and medical colleges

Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Sep 11,2025  -

Jharkhand is poised to make a major leap in its healthcare infrastructure with a state-wide initiative announced by Health Minister Banna Gupta.

The cornerstone of this plan is a new 2,100-bed super-specialty kidney hospital in Ranchi, with an estimated cost of Rs 300 crore.

This facility is designed to provide advanced care for chronic kidney diseases, including dialysis and transplantation.

In addition to this flagship hospital, the state will establish six new medical colleges, located in Daltonganj, Dumka, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Bokaro, and Chaibasa.

These new institutions aim to significantly increase the number of qualified medical professionals in the state and improve healthcare access for the population, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
