Inox Wind's large wind project for Purvah Green moves forward

Power Generation  -  Apr 22,2025  -

Inox Wind has shared an update saying that work is moving quickly on a large project to build 990 MW of wind power capacity for Purvah Green. This is part of a bigger agreement to build 1,500 MW. The project is being built in several places in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

Kailash Tarachandani, the CEO of Inox Wind Group, said, "We will start putting the project into operation bit by bit starting in the financial year 2026."

This order is very important because it is the biggest order ever given by an independent power producer in India to a wind turbine maker.

Purvah Green, a major company in India's renewable energy sector and part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, said they are happy with the partnership.

Sandeep Kashyap, the CEO of the Renewables Business at RPSG Group, said, "We are pleased with the progress we have made on this project. Our partnership with Inox Wind will be a strong boost in our goal to grow our renewable energy business many times over in the next few years. This is an important project for us, and it will contribute significantly to reaching our green goals."
